“Definitely doesn't worth $17” - Serg after getting his order and seeing the small size.

The business decided to respond to Serg's claims by sending him a DM and accusing him of lying. They claim Surg was “throwing shade” because they refused to give him the order for free and continued to ridicule Serg for his honest and fair review.
After he posted their response on his story, the conflict started to get a lot more traction, and the original review video started to get a lot more attention.
Still, the business refused to apologize and began accusing Serg of lying on their own social media page, too. Other users were shocked by their response and their lack of accountability. It was only after Serg came with the receipts and proved without a doubt that he was telling the truth that the business started to sing a different tune. All of a sudden, Serg received an apology DM and even an attempt at a refund, but by then, it was way too late for a sorry.
He posted another video explaining the entire situation from start to finish…

All the business needed to do was to respond to the initial review with an apology, and perhaps an invitation back for a better experience, and the whole thing would have been forgotten in seconds. It was their lack of accountability and how quickly they accused a customer of lying that shocked people and pushed customers away from this business, perhaps forever.
Social media is highly important for a business's image, so the actions here can really cause damage to its success. Even after apologizing, people are never going to forget how this business behaved in the first place.
In this case, bad advertising is harmful and could definitely have been avoided.
